So here we are, December 31, 2023, just a day away from the new year. December, with its lights, Christmas decorations, enchanting markets, and all those “Season’s Greetings” at every corner, makes this month so special!
On my side, like many, I celebrated New Year’s Eve with family. A quiet dinner at home, nothing better! I used to go out to the city center to watch the fireworks, but this time, it was raining, cold, and the crowd didn’t appeal to me either. So, I preferred to stay in, sharing those precious moments with my family until the very last second of the year.
I’m writing this short fashion article to share with you my outfit for this December 31st, very simple but in tune with the theme. A few years ago, at Mango, I found a top on sale, not even twenty euros! Goes to show, you should always seize good opportunities, especially for festive outfits. It was a rainbow-colored sequin top.
The top had a simple cut, long sleeves, and a neckline in the front that I didn’t like too much; it plunged too low for me. So, I decided to wear it backward, with the neckline in the back. I thought it made the outfit look more elegant on me!
Since the top was already quite eye-catching, I paired it with black high-waisted trousers to balance it all out.
The pictures below are from the ASOS website; they sell the same top from Mango, and it’s exactly the one I bought a few years ago during the sales. A wardrobe staple! Proof that you always need to be on the lookout for good deals to spice up your festive wardrobe!
P.S.: It’s crazy that on the ASOS website, it’s on sale for €57.10 (full price €79.99), whereas years ago, I bought it for around twenty euros! Seize those good deals and don’t hesitate to check out the end-of-season sales for evening outfits!
